Online activation Bellingham

The South-African wine brand Bellingham asked us to contribute ideas towards a communication approach to reach consumers and wine lovers.

Quite a challenge, because it was this wine brand’s first step in consumer communication.

Making consumers ‘Crazy’ about Bellingham, standing out in the target group, but also informing and engaging professionals and wine importers. After all, they sell the wines in their shops or via trade and are important ambassadors for a wine brand.


We developed the ‘Wild van Bellingham Challenge’ (Crazy about Bellingham Challenge), an online campaign loaded through the Facebook page Bellingham Wijnen. Via playful questions, a knock-out race and a tag campaign we created engagement and loyalty in Bellgingham’s target group. We also created all the content for the campaign: from Facebook content to an online promotional page with game rules, images and videos.


Rumour about the brand! We created a solid online community with 4500 (new!) fans on Facebook and plenty of exposure among consumers and wine professionals. A maximum result achieved with a relatively small budget for an online campaign.
